Vehicle graphics provide one of the best, most economical
means of advertising available! Usually, we don’t like to give
a “sales pitch”, however, in the case of vehicle graphics
we think it will be to your advantage to consider the following points.
IT’S A BIG AD!
First, if you have a vehicle for business, you are driving
a “rolling billboard”. This
is an opportunity to take your ad on the road. Wherever you drive, in
whichever area you service, your ad is with you. Usually on both sides
and the back of the vehicle. In return, you get additional business,
credibility and name recognition all over the area you serve.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
It depends on many factors, such as the square footage
covered, the number of colors and any artwork or logos that have to
be reproduced. Having said that, a typical utility van usually runs
between $300.00 and $1,000.00. This is for an ad that you will have
for 5 to 10 years, depending on how long you keep the vehicle. At the
low end, that’s $ 5.00/month for 5 years. At the high end, that’s
under $ 17.00/month for 5 years.
IS THAT A GOOD DEAL?
Compare that to any other form of advertising. What
does a nice size ad cost you in the Yellow Pages per month? How about
the newspaper, newsletters, magazines, direct mail pieces or any other
form of advertising? Can you think of any other form of advertising
that will give you a lower cost per 1000 impressions? More important,
can you think of a more effective way to get your name in front of potential
customers “in your service area”?
CAN I AFFORD NOT TO DO IT?
We get more testimonials and success stories about vehicle
graphics than almost any other type of signage we provide. That’s
why we get so excited when we tell people about this type of advertising.
The amount of “return on investment” you get will of course
depend on the type of business your in and the effectiveness of your
ad. However, from the response we get from our customers, this is one
investment you should recover many times over.
JUST ONE STORY
If you have many vehicles on the street, you are already
aware of how effective it is to use your “rolling billboard”.
This is a brief story for the companies with just one vehicle and wondering,
is it worth it. We had one customer that did window washing mainly in
residential areas. In the Fall of each year he also did gutter cleaning
in the “nicer” residential areas. He had been doing this
for years in his one-man business, out of his truck. His main form of
advertising was handing out and mailing out fliers. Finally, he decided
to have his truck lettered. Fortunately, he decided to do a multi-colored
design that looked very professional yet friendly. He told us that his
business had increased over 500% that Fall and he took on a partner
plus several part time workers. We’re still doing additional vehicles
for them to this day. They said that the graphics made them look like
a legitimate business and people were not afraid to approach them to
have them do their houses.
